The CoolAer Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) is an economical and environmentally friendly alternative to other common HVAC solutions. Where traditional air conditioning units rely on a furnace to provide heat in the winter, air source heat pumps provide both heating and cooling in a single unit. Air Source Heat Pumps do not produce heat; they move heat from one place to another.

How do Air Source Heat Pumps work?
CoolAer Air Source Heat Pumps use a state-of-the-art system that cycles the refrigerant through a vapor compression cycle that includes high-efficiency compressors, heat exchangers and condensers to transfer heat efficiently.

The environmentally friendly refrigerant is passed between two heat exchangers, one external and one internal. The compressor and condenser are used to change the state of the refrigerant from gas to liquid and from liquid to gas.

Air Source Heat Pumps can be designed to operate at temperatures as low as -24 °C.
